Golden Gate Bridge
Building a Bridge to Hope

What are Bridges?

Bridges are not only the superstars of the engineering world, they influence the development of cultures, environments, and lives in more ways than you can count. Bridges shape skylines. Imagine San Francisco without the Golden Gate Bridge, or the Manhattan without the Brooklyn Bridge! These structures also shape our lives, aiding commerce, social life and urban development.

A Bridge to Hope

We the Senior High Sunday School Class decided to use a bridge as our theme for our 2009 mission trip! This year the Class is working towards a mission trip in 2009, and we were hoping to have the congregation help us build a bridge from our church to another community. A bridge to hope is what we will provide to the people we visit this coming year and it is also going to be a bridge from the First Congregational Church to another community.

In order to do this we are going to build a real bridge with your help and the help of our friends and family! With vour help we know we can do anything!!! We are going to be very adventurous and build the Golden Gate Bridge. You will be able to view the progress every week as more and more pieces are added.
building with sticks
You can help us by buying a popsicle stick for $2 for adults and $1 for kids and signing your name or a message. Your popsickle stick will be used to build our Bridge to Hope!
your sticks

Popsickle sticks will be available after church each Sunday. Ask anyone in the Senior High Class how you can get your popsickle stick and become a part of the Bridge to Hope.

Thanks for all your support! The Senior High Class.
