One Great Hour of Sharing

One Great Hour of Sharing (OGHS) is tan offering that makes real the love of Christ for individuals and communities around the world who suffer the effects of disasters, conflict, or severe economic hardship, … through gifts of money and time."

OGHS has recently helped people in Washington and Oregon when record level flooding occurred. Funds are also being used to help provide life sustaining food, water, health care and education for war-affected Iraqi families. The Tents of Hope project is helping those caught in the Darfur crisis. Other funds have gone for Tsunami recovery, to aid Afghan refugees, to provide fresh water to Palestinian families, to help Angola's 4 million displaced persons and to assist locally vulnerable people in Bosnia. This offering is indeed part of our "Wider Mission."
