Dear Parents,

The Sunday school teachers have devised an outline of the second semester to help keep
you updated and involved with your child’s religious education. We are using the
workbook Witness from Augsburg Fortress as our guide for class.

Each worksheet is formatted to discuss a story from the Bible, and then further explore the story
through discussion or hands-on activities. Additional activities are also included to
help engage the children in applying what they learned in class to their own lives at
home.

The worksheets also discuss a "Faith Traits" with each story. Faith Traits are words
that teach children character and values such as generosity, kindness, empathy and
respect. Faith Traits connect the children with God’s family and invite them to explore
and use their minds to learn, make good choices, and communicate with others. We hope
that you will find this outline helpful and that the worksheets will inspire your child to
explore their lessons further at home.
